Gallery 508 will be holding a solo exhibition of photographer Tadzio, « The Isle », from December 13th.

This exhibition will feature the artist’s long-standing architectural series and his new The Isle series.

Tadzio‘s architectural series blurs the boundaries between photography and painting. His photographs are so abstract that it is difficult to recognize the form of architecture, while the images emphasize pictorial elements.

The Isle series is inspired by the existence of the North Island, an archipelago in the Indian Ocean where people find difficulties for access. The artist captures the rugged walls in photographs, imagining a world made up of lost reefs that have disappeared from the sea.

This work is a follow-up to the architecture series and captures as photographs through the traces found on the walls of an imaginary world where a world full of people and an empty world, and islands are connected.
